Chapter Six
She winced a bit but smiled when she heard her husband’s voice very close to her ear and felt his arms tighten around her.
"Good morning, my love" he whispered seductively into her ear.
Ivy kissed his nose and settled into the covers, laying her head on his chest.
They had made love three times last night. The first time had been wonderful, the second time had been phenomenal and the third time had been mind-blowing.
"What would you like to do today, love" Lucius asked his bride.
Ivy thought for a moment then smiled "I want to take a hot bath."
"Then I shall prepare you one immediately" Lucius pressed a quick kiss to Ivy’s lips and exited the room, nearly skipping with giddiness.
Lucius walked into the bathing room (theirs was one of very few homes with a bathing room) and examined the very large tub in the middle of the room. It was made of some sort of white rock like matter and had a drain in the bottom, where the water would drain from and go through a pipe to a small gutter-like drain, which poured the water into the yard outside.
Lucius then went into the kitchen and retrieved several buckets full of very cold water, while allowing a very large pot of water to boil on the stove. Once the tub was full enough of the cold water, he poured in the boiling water, creating a lovely warm bath.
Once he was completely satisfied with the temperature of the bath, walked back to he and his new wife’s bedroom.
Ivy was sitting on the bed, completely nude, her legs folded under her and her hands twirling the waves in her hair. Her eyes were closed and she was humming softly and Lucius came to the conclusion that she was unaware of his presence.
For a moment, he merely stood there at the entrance of the room, watching her in awe. When he decided that he didn’t want her bath water to get cold, he spoke softly to her, his voice shaking slightly.
"I…Ivy, your um…your bath is…err…ready" he mumbled and she immediately stood and walked over to him.
"Will you bring me" she asked innocently, her lips parted slightly.
Lucius answered wordlessly by talking her hand and escorting her through the warm house (thanks to a roaring fire which had been lit) until they reached the bathing room. He opened the door and lifted her into his arms, walking over to the tub slipping in her small form. As he began to walk out, Ivy called after him.
"Lucius" she raised up enough out of the water that the tops of her breasts could be seen "Will you not join me"
Lucius smiled and unbuttoned his pants, which he had put on before drawing the bath for her, should they receive and unwanted visitors. He carefully eased in behind her, bringing arms around her to rest on her stomach as she leaned back against his chest.
Ivy sighed happily and turned her head to the side to kiss his cheek. Lucius took a washing cloth off of the chair next to the tub and soaped it up using a bar of lavender scented soap. He then ran the washing cloth over Ivy’s shoulders and down her back, gently washing her fair skin.
Ivy abruptly took the rag from his hands and turned to face him, straddling his legs. She smiled coyly and began to rub his chest with her hands, which she had soaped up. She knew by the way he was breathing that he was immensely enjoying himself. She reached out a hand to gently touch his face, feeling for his lips, before kissing him soundly.
Ivy’s hands moved from Lucius’s cheeks to his neck and shoulders and his chest and lower until he pulled his lips away from hers and groaned involuntarily.
"Ivy" he gasped "I don’t think you should…" he was quickly cut off by Ivy.
"Make love to me, Lucius" her voice was lower than he’d ever heard it and her eyes were dark with arousal.
Without another word, Lucius raised from the tub, picking Ivy up and walked quickly to their bedroom.
The moment they arrived at said destination, Ivy pounced.
She pushed him down on the bed and kissed him feverishly on the lips, before allowing her mouth to travel down his jaw and neck to his chest.
Lucius was using all of the control he could muster not to flip Ivy onto her back and take her there; he was gripping the sheets on either side of him and grinding his teeth slightly.
When Ivy suddenly took him in her hand and guided him inside of herself, Lucius thought he would die with pleasure. She shifted slightly to make herself more comfortable before placing her hands on Lucius chest. She then began moving, very slowly, not really sure where all of this was coming from. She hoped Lucius would not think she had been too forward. She wanted to show him how much he meant to her.
It was not long before the newness of all of this began to take its effect on each of them and he abruptly, but carefully, flipped her over and finished it until they cried out each other’s name and moaned greatly.
Once they were both spent, they simply lay holding each other, speechless from amazement.
"Ivy" Lucius finally whispered reverently "that…" he struggled to find the words that would be appropriate to describe what had just happened "I love you, Ivy" was all he could say, too drowsy to be any more poetic.
Ivy blushed and smiled slightly, glad that he did not think her too wanton, and snuggled against him before drifting to sleep.
Ivy was immediately alert. Her father. She knew what that meant. He wanted to discuss what he had told her about ‘Those we do not speak of’ with she and her new husband.
"I’m going to go tell your father you’ve woken up. Your clothes and things are in the trunk at the foot of the bed. If you need any help, just call for me." Ivy nodded gratefully and smiled towards her husband.
Once she had heard his footsteps leave, she scurried from the bed, grimacing a bit when her body reminded her of her soreness, and felt for the trunk. When she found it, she opened it up and felt for a dress. Feeling one that she recognized, she slipped the material over her head and buttoned it up, biting her lip in nervousness. Finally, when she felt she probably looked presentable, she slowly made her way downstairs.
Lucius took Ivy's hand and sat her down opposite of her father at their dining table.
"Ivy, have you told Lucius what I told you about..." his voice lowered and he glanced around the room a bit "Those we do not speak of"
"Not yet, Papa" Ivy bit her lip, feeling very guilty about having kept something of such import from the love of her life. She could almost feel his eyes burning into her.
"What is it, Mr. Walker" Lucius asked cautiously, still staring at his new wife.
"Lucius, do not be angry with Ivy for not telling you what I am about to inform you of. She was undoubtedly frightened of possible consequences" he paused and looked at his nervous daughter and the slightly irritated young man sitting beside her "Ivy loves you very much, Lucius."
Lucius's eyes softened as he remembered all that they had shared in the past twenty four hours, the trust she had placed in him, and he felt his heart warm. He promised himself that he would not become angry with Ivy, no matter what she had kept from him. He was sure she kept it from him from respect of her father and fear for what may happen, should she have told him.
Noting Lucius's change in demeanor, Edward began telling Lucius the story that he had told Ivy. He told Lucius everything. The entire truth. When he was done, Lucius's eyes were wide and his mouth agape. Ivy was biting her lip, trying not to cry from fear that Lucius would be beyond furious.
"Lucius" Ivy was crying softly now "Are you furious with me" she sniffed a bit "I'm so sorry, Lucius..." he immediately cut her off.
"Ivy" his voice was still somewhat bitter "It is alright. I understand."
Ivy kissed her husband's cheek gratefully, not caring that her father was observing them, and took his hand in her own, feeling very thankful.
"Ivy" her father's voice interrupted her moment "There is something else" Edward Walker lowered his head in shame and began messaging his temples "Ivy, I have been keeping something even more vital from you" he kneeled in front of his daughter "I ask that, after I tell you what I am about to tell you, you forgive me for not informing you earlier, and understand that I had good reasons that I am not at liberty to discuss with you."
Ivy wrinkled her brow in frightened confusion, but nodded, hesitantly, towards her father.
"Ivy" she could tell he was crying softly "Your blindness is reversible" Ivy gasped and Lucius's jaw dropped as his eyes nearly burst from his head "There is a medication that we have here in the village that can be administered to you" Edward was now holding Ivy's hands and sobbing "I have it with me. It can be given at any time. Once you've taken it, you should regain your sight within a few hours."
Ivy was shaking with multiple emotions: fury, hurt, fear, excitement, joy. Lucius was crying softly and Edward was trembling and pleading for her forgiveness.
After several moments, Ivy took and deep breath and bit her lip uncertainly.
"Where is the medicine, Papa? I want to take it this moment."
Ivy's father reached into his pocket, pulling out a small brown box which he opened to reveal three large white capsules. Lucius practically sprinted to the kitchen, retrieving a mug of water
"After you take these pills, you're going to pass out. I don't want you to worry. You'll wake up in a few hours and be able to see."
Ivy nodded as her father handed her three pills and Lucius handed her the mug. She quickly took the pills and began crying uncontrollably.
"Let's get her to bed." Mr. Walker said quietly to his new son-in-law. Lucius immediately picked Ivy up and walked her to their bedroom, laying her down on their bed and pulling the covers over her weeping form.
Ivy did not know why she was crying. She assumed it was from the shock and rush of emotions she was experiencing. Before she knew it, her mind went blank and sleep overtook her.
Author's note: Ok, I know that it is scientifically impossible for what I am having happen to happen...but who cares! It's my story! Hahaha...please just stick with me. I love my reviewers the most! Hehe.
BTW...sorry it took so long for me to update...I had horrific computer problems and my grandma is in the hospital...thanks for your patience.
"Ivy" Lucius Hunt gently shook his sleeping wife, trying to stir her from her slumber "Ivy, your father is here" Ivy finally opened her blind eyes and felt for the blankets of the bed, pulling them up to cover her bare breasts. Lucius smiled at his wife’s sudden shyness "Your father is here, Ivy" he kissed her lightly "He says he needs to speak with us."
"Ivy, my dear" came the sound of her father's voice, slightly weary "We need to discuss something."
